Celebrating 10 Years of Dance for Parkinson's Classes in WA
A celebration of this milestone was celebrated with afternoon tea and guest speakers including Yasmin Nagalazas (CEO Parkinsons WA), Gary Hodge - (Chair Ausdance WA), Ella Waterworth (OT & Lead Teacher, Lifespan Dance) Jac El-Saleh - Dance & Philanthropy, a well as four of the original dancers - Lois, Derek, Shelley & John - still dancing a decade on. With a special video message from
Erica-Rose Jeffrey - Director, Dance for Parkinson's, and screening of the stunning film 'Capturing Grace' https://www.capturinggracefilm.com/ the day was a reminder of the power and evolution of dance as an relevant social connector. We are grateful to all the people who attended this wonderful celebration. Onwards we go in 2025!

WHORL at the Art Gallery of WA
Celebrating Seniors Week, Lifespan Dance were invited to perform in the Gallery 09 Space - for the second year in a row.
​
The public performances were warmly received. and sat within a program of wonderful Seated Dance classes across Perth and Mandurah - to celebrate Seniors Week.

WHORL success at Mandurah Arts Festival
With a cast of 28 dancers, Lifespan Dance premiered a new Seated Dance performance titled WHORL.
Choreographed by Paige Gordon, to music created by Louis Frere-Harvey, the work celebrated the spiral motif, which was reflected in the movement and the formation. The performance was a welcome addition to the celebratory Mandurah Arts Festival. The performances were attended by 3,400 audience members.

April 2024 - REGIONAL TOUR
The WHEATBELT/GOLDFIELDS Regional Tour was a huge success!
York, Northam, Kellerberrin, Meredin, Kalgoorlie.
​
Leading outreach classes in Aged Care in Juniper Northam and Southern Cross Kalgoorlie, as well as Community Classes held in the York Town Hall and the Goldfields Arts Centre. It was a wonderful way to connect with our regional communities, carers and councils.
